Gmail for iPhone + Android Phones

This article describes how to set up your Swissmail Mail account on iPhones and Android phones.

Step-by-step guide

1. Open up Gmail and klick 'Sign in' to start the set-up process.

2.Next, to select the Account Type klick on "Other (IMAP)".

3. In the next screen enter your swissmail e-mail address. Then click 'Next' to go on.

4. Next, fill in the "Password" according to your account details.

Then fill in "secure.swissmail.org" in the field "IMAP Server" and choose  "STARTTLS" as the Security Type. The Port Number "143" is set automatically when you select the Security type.

Click 'Next' to go on.

5. Fill in "secure.swissmail.org" in the field "SMTP Server" and choose again "STARTTLS" as the Security Type. The Port Number "587" is set automatically when you select the Security type.

Click 'Next' to go on.

6. On the last screen the field "Your Name" contains the display name when sending e-mails. We recommend that you enter your full name here.

After clicking on 'Next' the account setup is completed.
